QF Landowner Field Day at Ames Plantation March 24

The Mid-South Chapter of Quail Forever (MSQF) will host a Field Day on March 24, 2012, at the Ames Plantation.  Farmers, landowners, and other interested parties are invited to attend this free informative and progressive program.  The event will start at 9 a.m. and lunch will be provided courtesy of Joe Wood with Modern Woodmen of America and the Mid South Chapter of Quail Forever.  Pre-registration is required.

The program will include information on financial incentives offered by the USDA and TWRA, grazing on native grasses, use of sprayers and herbicides, quail research, and habitat management.  Speakers include Mike Hansbrough from the USDA, John Gruchy from the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Dr. James Martin and Dr. Kristine Evans from Mississippi State University, Al Pollock and Mark Gudlin from TWRA, and Dr. Allan Houston and Dr. Patrick Keyser from the UT Institute of Agriculture.  Please visit www.midsouthquailforever.org for the most current lineup of speakers and topics and to register for the event.
