The Tennessean: “Hunters, Farmers Needed to Save Bobwhite Quail”

Anne Paine, environmental reporter for The Tennessean newspaper in Nashville, TN,  writes about bobwhite quail in Tennessee:

“Tennessee is one of 25 states in the National Bobwhite Conservation Initiative to develop a strategy to restore the birds. Members know they will reap collateral benefits, too, for prairie warblers, loggerhead shrike, painted buntings and scores of other birds and animals.

“If we can save bobwhites across 25 states, we’ll be bringing back all these other wildlife species,” said Don McKenzie, director of the initiative that is part of the University of Tennessee.” Click HERE for the complete story.
